Heart Breakfast & BBC Breaking the News host – Des Clarke, is Scotland’s multi-award-winning star of stand-up, TV and radio. Des has presented on everything from SM:TV Live to the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony to a global TV audience of 1 billion viewers. Over the years Des has interviewed the biggest names in showbiz including Ed Sheeran, Pink, Robbie Williams, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Rita Ora and Katy Perry.
Stand-up comedy remains Des’ first love and he performs regularly throughout the UK. He has also toured the world with his unique brand of observational humour, appearing on stage in New York, Dubai, Melbourne and Los Angeles. Along the way, Des also joined the ranks of Scotland’s iconic panto stars; completing a record breaking 5 year headline run at the world famous King’s Theatre in Glasgow.
