Multi-award winning hip hop comedian – MC HAMMERSMITH, is the world’s leading comedy gangsta rapper. He writes and performs original hip hop comedy tracks, and improvised freestyle comic raps based on audience suggestions.

His live shows are spontaneous, unscripted, with absolutely no preparation. The lyrics and rhymes of his raps are 100% improvised and based entirely on crowd suggestions.
 
He takes stories and suggestions from audience members, then raps about them at lightning speed. Mind-blowing, hilarious, and completely different every single time.

Combining his love for linguistics and improvisation, he first started performing solo freestyle rap in 2016. Since then he has performed at Fringe and comedy festivals all around the world, headlined at major comedy clubs across the UK, and has won multiple comedy awards for his freestyle rap performances.

Outside of rapping, MC Hammersmith trained in improv at Second City and iO Chicago, the Annoyance Theatre in Chicago, and UCB New York. He regularly performs improvised comedy shows with two of the UK’s leading improv troupes: The Spontaneous Players and Men With Coconuts. Both troupes are award-winning collectives of improvisational comedians, singers and musicians, and have sold out multiple runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
